MOISTURIZER

The skin is a natural defense barrier of the body from the outside world and needs a proper hydration to stay healthy. Weathering, pollution and the use of some chemical agents reduce its hydration leaving it dry.

That means it is necessary to maintain the barrier function of the skin with softening and moisturizing ingredients, at first to defend water molecules in the various layers that compose it  and secondly to reduce their evaporation.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Hyaluronic acid:

hyaluroni_acid

glicosaminoglycan located in the dermis that possesses the ability to attract and retain water molecules in large quantity; in this way helps to restore the correct skin’s moisture.

Collagen:

collagene

fibrous protein able to absorb huge water quantities; the application of collagen on the skin will protect it from skin aging and will improve hydration.

Almond Oil:

olio di mandorle

it contains polyunsturated fatty acids, well tolerated by the most sensitive skin because of its high affinity with cutaneous sebum. Thanks to its softening and nourishing action it also makes your skin more elastic.

Vegetable Glycerine:

glicerina_vegetale

it is strongly hygroscopic, thus able to absorb the humidity of the air, independently of the alterated humidity conditions.

Shea butter:

burro di karitè Vitellaria_paradoxa_sm

Shea tree derives from the sapotaceae family, spread in Africa. From its seeds, improperly called shea nuts, we get the shea butter with emollient, moisturizing and regenerating properties for the skin barrier. Thanks to the presence of a high percentage of unsaponifiable part, is a precious natural anti-wrinkle and anti-ageing ingredient for face and body, able to give firmness and elasticity to the skin.

NMF:

NMF

Natural Moisturizing Factor. It is made up of several amino acids, urea and lactic acid (in the form of sodium salt), sugars and salts in low concentration; all of them are constituent elements of the water-soluble compound within the hydrolipidic film that covers the entire surface of the skin and are capable of retaining water in the horny layer, mantaining our skin naturally hydrated. The role of the NMF has been underrated for a long time, but its components are highly efficient humectants and allow an adequate hydration of the stratum corneum. Modern cosmetics considers necessary the use of this natural moisturizing complex in skin care products as its hydrosoluble structure makes its removal easy, maintaining its functional action.
